Recline
Ridge Vineyards and Winery is family-owned and operated, nestled in the
heart of the Shuswap Lake area of British Columbia. Although north of the
50th parallel, our vineyards enjoy sun drenched days and cool evenings
which maximize varietal character and set the stage for the production of
award winning wines noted for their clean sound structure, intense
flavours and perfect balance. |

(0) RED TABLE WINE |

VQA describes this wine as Fruity, Raspberry, Strawberry, Prune,
Nutty, Cedar with good Chancellor Character.
This is a productive red French hybrid, originally
known as Seibel 7053 (from the name of a French hybridizer). Long
since banned in France -- along with many other hybrids -- it is
widely planted in eastern North America and only modestly so in
British Columbia.
Here it produced wines that clearly were superior to
the thin sharp reds made from De Chaunac, which once was extensively
planted. The wines are medium-bodied with appealing claret-like
flavours, especially when given some time in American oak barrels.
Both consulting winemaker Ross Mirko and Sumac Ridge's Mark Wendenburg
suggest enjoying Chandellor with spaghetti or hamburgers.
